Jackpotjoy BingoCanadian online gambling company Intertain Group has splashed out $651 Million on purchasing UK online bingo brand Jackpotjoy and a number of other brands from Gamesys. These include the Spanish online bingo site Botemania and online slots site Starspins.

Gamesys has also agreed to a 10 year services agreement with Intertain for the provision of platform services and gaming content.

“Our stated vision is to focus on the female demographic, in regulated markets,” said Intertain CEO John Kennedy FitzGerald. This acquisition is consistent with this vision. We feel privileged to be inheriting this strong community of players. We have not only acquired the leading on-line, bingo-led business, but we are also entering into a long-term relationship with one of the most well-respected, technology and gaming operators, Gamesys.”

Gamesys will however, continue to run Virgin Bingo under a long-term licence and partnership arrangement, and operate gaming sites and apps for other partners including Heart Bingo and Caesar’s Bingo.
